Classes resume. By now you should have sixteen (16) entries logged in your HW log. That’s 8 hours of study, and if you’ve been doing it, you’ll be in good shape for today’s HW log check. The Barron’s review book and later sections of your textbook are highly recommended if you start running out of things to work on. We will cover through Chapter 14 in the textbook before the end of the year.

Read §11.2 before class today (skip pp. 633-637, but do read the 2 paragraphs on pp. 638-639).

Review of 1-sample t procedures (§11.1) and 2-sample t procedures (§11.2). Remember, for matched pairs you use 1-sample methods. Take-home Test on §§10.3, 10.4, 11.1, and 11.2 will be distributed today in class. Collaboration is permitted if you document it, but your work must be your own. No copying. You are exempt from the 30-minute study requirement for two nights.

Submit your take-home test before 1:30 p.m. today. Hand delivery is strongly recommended, since items sometimes disappear from the mailroom. You may ask questions during the class period and may leave after turning in your test. Suggestion: Use this time to visit the STA Bookstore and purchase the Barron’s AP Statistics review book if you have not already done so.

Note: Today is also the day that 11 students are hoping to go with Ms. Rusher on a field trip to see the Salvador Dali exhibit at the Hirshhorn Museum. However, most of you (9 of the 11) are in arrears either on HW or on last Friday's quiz that you may have missed (or both), and you will need to clear up your backlog in STAtistics first. See me to get a note certifying that you are caught up.

Also: Please purchase the Barron's AP Statistics review book if you have not already done so. The STA Bookstore has plenty of copies, and most of the larger bookstores in the area (Crown, Borders, etc.) carry this book as well.
