Schedule at a Glance (click here for schedule archives)

Th 5/18/00

HW due today: Make a good start on the practice final exam. Bring your questions to class and the problems you couldn’t get to match the answer key. You will be graded based on the percentage of the exam that you have finished. (Before class starts today, you should be able to get approximately halfway through the exam.)

F 5/19/00

HW due today: Finish the practice final exam and bring your Islands of Uncertainty to class. If you have additional questions over the weekend, leave a message at (703)593-6624 (voice mail 24 hours a day).

M 5/22/00

Optional review session, 10:00 a.m. to noon, Room R. Feel free to stay as briefly or as long as you wish. You may even drift in and out if you like. This is open to all Algebra II students, so you might want to come early to get a good seat.

Final exam, 2:00 p.m., Steuart 101/102. If you have worked through the practice final exam and answer key, you will be well prepared. Note: Other conic sections besides the ones shown on the exam may be tested. You are responsible for circles, ellipses, parabolas, and hyperbolas. Also be aware that such topics as root finding, synthetic division, the Rational Root Theorem, and trig identities are fair game.

T 5/23/00

Last day for T-shirt orders—sign up with Hakim Thompson or Mr. Hansen. (See additional information at top of page.)

F 6/2/00

STAlgebra II T-shirts will be sold for $7.75 in Room S from 3:30 to 4:00 and again after the end of Prize Day. If you didn't sign up for a shirt, there are some extras available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Sat 6/3/00

SAT II Math Level I C achievement test. If you would like a review session before the test, leave voice mail at 703-599-6624 with your desired time and date, and I'll try to accommodate you.
