9.	Let x = measure of unknown angle, 90 – x = meas. of comp., 180 – x = meas. of supp. Write equation: 180 – x = 107 + 0.5(90 – x) Solve for x to get x = 34, but don’t stop there (RAWQ if you do). Final answer: 56 degrees.
10.	Four ticks (24 degrees) from minute hand to the number 5. Then add 60 degrees from 5 to 7. Finally, add (21/60) of 30 degrees for the last little bit to the hour hand, namely 10.5 degrees. 24 + 60 + 10.5 = 94.5 Final answer: 94°30', obtuse.
11.	Almost everyone had a valid Venn diagram. Use capital letters B, F, and T. Points were deducted for people (quite a few, actually) who made the lower case t look like a plus sign. Many people also forgot to state the answer, which is that we can’t tell.
12.	z + 70 + z^2 = 90 Use Algebra I skills to get z = 4 or z = –5. Since both answers work, we must retain both of them.
13.	Look at #2 under the HW store’s additional review problems to see how this is done for an obtuse triangle. Very few people were able to do this correctly. However, almost everyone managed to handle the equilateral triangle, although some students forgot to mark their right angles.
14.	Look at either of the Pons Asinorum entries in the HW store.
15.	You should know how to do the proof by now, since it was marked up and handed back to you in class.
