How to interpret
your score
The estimated grade scale shown below includes an
adjustment for the length of the test. I recognize that some of you did not
have time to finish all the questions, but the instructions clearly stated, “Do
not linger over problems that take too much time. Solve as many as you can;
then return to the others in the time you have left for this test.”
Omitting 2 or 3 questions because of time constraints would be reasonable.
Anything more than that suggests that you need to do some serious drill and
practice between now and the final exam in order to improve your processing
speed. Please note that on the real final exam, you will be expected to
complete all questions in the time provided.
