M 4/1/02

Classes resume after spring break. No HW is planned, except for those who missed the quiz on Friday 3/15. If you were unlucky enough to miss the quiz, you will be contacted over spring break in order to take an alternate version.

 

T 4/2/02

HW due today: §11.6 #4, 6, 9, 11, 13, 15, 18. Make these your priority. Also attempt §11.7 #5, 6, 8, 9, 12, 13, 17, but if you fall short on §11.7 (perhaps because of the Maryland game), you can catch up Tuesday night.

HW due today: §11.8 #1a, 2, 3a, 4, 8. Also, if you have not already done so, write §11.7 #5, 6, 8, 9, 12, 13, 17.

HW due today: §12.6 #1, 2, 5, 8, 12. Optional extra credit due by 8:00 a.m. today: Prove convincingly that the cyclic pentagon on last week's test (with sides of 6, 6, 6, 12, and 5, in order, with a rt. angle between the sides of 12 and 5) is impossible. Submit neatly, with a signed pledge that you worked alone.

 

F 4/19/02

HW due today: Review problems pp. 594-597 #1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 9, 11, 13, 17, 20, 21, 22. You may stop working after 30 minutes of solid work. Note: B period will not meet today because of the Diversity Forum.

 

M 4/22/02

HW due today: Finish your review problems and check the answer key to make sure you understood them. Also look carefully at the full solutions to #17 and 20-22.

 

T 4/23/02

Test on Chapter 12.

 

W 4/24/02

HW due today: §13.1 #4, 7, 10.

 

Th 4/25/02

HW due today: §13.1 #4, 7, 10, 13, 16, 18, 20, 24. Also turn in your solution to the Frustrating Great Pyramid Frustum Problem if you wish to earn extra credit toward your Chapter 12 test.

Note for Clayton only: Since you need to look at your Chapter 11 test before you take the Chapter 12 test, please set up a meeting with me when you return from your trip.

 

F 4/26/02

HW due today: §13.2 #4, 6, 9, 13-16 all, 20, 22. In class: Quiz quiz (check for understanding) on lines, slopes, and intercepts.
