Class meets in Room T. HW due: Chapter 6 review problems selected from R1, R3-R9, T1-T18. Read all the problems, and then focus on those where you are weak. If you can’t seem to find any challenging problems, then look again at #T11 on p.302 and see if you can generalize the result. Also, everyone, regardless of ability level, should compute the following antiderivative:

T 12/5/00

HW due today: §7-1 #1-5; §7-2 #9, plus any two of #4, 5, and 6. You may omit part (f) of #6. Note that #9 is the same as #6 in §7-1.

W 12/6/00

HW due today: §7-3 #3, 4, 9.

Th 12/7/00

HW due today: Finish §7-3 problems thoroughly. If time permits, try to start on §7-4 #1, 4, 7, 9, 10. You are responsible for getting a slope field program from a classmate or from Texas Instruments.

F 12/8/00

HW due today: §7-4 #1, 4, 7, 9, 10, and read §7-5.

M 12/11/00

HW due today: §7-5 #1, 2, 3, 7, 8. For several of these you will need either the EULER program from class or the FNINTY1 program from Texas Instruments.

T 12/12/00

HW due today: §7-6 #1-15 all, §7-7 #R4, R6, C2. In class: Dec. 1999 Happy Quiz with answer key. Key to the Chapter 6 test was distributed in hard copy during class. The only overlap between tests is that tomorrow’s test will include one L’Hôpital’s Rule problem and the full statement of L’Hôpital’s Rule.

Test on Chapter 7. Be sure to study the Happy Quiz and answer key, and know your terminology regarding differential equations. Also on test: L’Hôpital’s Rule statement + one problem.
